5) We seek to challenge and subvert colonial and racist narratives about human variation in our research, teaching and outreach.

6) We support capacity building in the communities and countries in which we work by setting up long-term and equal collaboration with scientific and community partners and avoiding the practices of ‘helicopter science’. 

7) Finally, as a research team we strive to lift as we climb by working together to facilitate each other’s development  and celebrate each other’s achievements.
