Carrie Miller, Ph.D.

Genetics Lab Manager and Instructional Specialist

I am a primatologist and molecular anthropologist who applied genetic and behavioral techniques in my dissertation at the University of Minnesota to examine male reproductive strategies in gelada monkeys at Guassa, Ethiopia. Now, as the lab manager of the Anthropological Genetics Laboratories, I am able to expand my molecular skill set by providing support to ongoing research in our labs that apply molecular techniques to the study of human populations. While I am still passionate about exploring the diversity of mating and reproductive strategies in non-human primates, I am thrilled to have made the jump to humans and look forward to discovering all that the diversity of human populations can teach me.
